‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Producer Hints At Director’s Cut
Producer of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Nate Moore makes a suggestion that there might be a director’s cut. The producer confirms that certain scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film were eliminated due to the lengthy running time and hints that Ryan Coogler’s unreleased work may be made available to fans.
“Many characters have fantastic situations, but the movie just couldn’t handle them. Since the film is already rather long, we wanted to ensure that it felt as concentrated as possible while accomplishing as much as it does. However, there are some extremely cool deleted moments. I believe there to be a spectrum, “Nate stated in a Collider interview.
The producer went on to say, “Some scenes from the Director’s Cut were cut before being released. Some of them were the subject of extensive playtime and repeated screening. In editorial, we have a reputation for experimenting a lot. By the way, Ryan is too. Things are therefore in and out. What about this here? So some are more finished, while others are still in their rawest form.”
Moore previously stated that the success of the sequel would determine whether or not a “Black Panther 3” would be produced. He stated: “What a wonderful question. To be completely honest, I’m not doing anything to avoid answering your question.”
“Before making a decision, we want to see how the picture is received by the audience and, from what I can tell, Ryan is as eager to see how the movie does. We have definitely discussed ideas for a third movie, should we be given the opportunity to create it. We are a little bit superstitious in that regard, though, until the movie is released. Since you never know what will happen, we don’t want to count our chickens.”
